Alison Barnet moved to Boston’s South End when attending Boston University in 1964. Since then, the former South End News editor, author of five books and countless newspaper articles, has amassed stories of the South End and Boston.

Linda Bourke is a visual artist, book illustrator, storyteller, and pretty good bowler. Happily retired from teaching at Mass College of Art and Design, she draws and writes every day, which keeps her out of jail. She lives in Gloucester.

Kerry Breymann has managed  bookstores and  is a lover of books, hikes, biking and kayaking. Always with her camera, she chronicles adventures in the woods and on the sea. Raised in “the Head,” she continues to live in Marblehead.

Carl Carlsen created the website, Poetry of Places in Essex County while teaching at North Shore Community College, and he has authored two volumes of Brickyard Stories – oral histories from Lynn residents. He lives in Winchester.

Caryn Coyle’s writing has appeared in a number of literary journals. She has won awards from the Maryland Writer’s Association, the New Millennium, Delmarva Review, the Missouri Writer’s Guild and others. She lives in Marblehead.

Richard Frenkel is a computer consultant, mushroom aficionado and avid hiker who leads weekly excursions into the wild. Currently absorbed in writing a book about economics, he lives in Swampscott.

Yetti Frenkel paints scenes of daily life. Trained at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, she creates public art in the form of mosaics and murals. Besides teaching in residencies, Yetti has had stories, poems, and illustrations published. She lives in West Newbury.

Claire Keyes has authored two collections of poetry:The Question of Rapture and What Diamonds Can Do. Her chapbook, Rising and Falling, won the Foothills Poetry Competition. Professor emerita at Salem State University, she lives in Marblehead.

Bette Keva, a former journalist, has won awards from N.E. Press Assoc.,  American Jewish Press Assoc., and the Fenway Community Development Corp. She is a freelance writer, English teacher and originator of Mass Motifs.  She lives in Marblehead.

Martha Krainin is an oil painting restorer, potter and stone sculptor. Having grown up in Peabody, she naturally hightaled it out of there at age 18, but regularly returns to the Bay State for kayaking, a tuna sub and fried clams. She lives in Santa Clarita, CA.

Joshua Winer creates public art mosaics and murals. He works with schools as an artist-in-residence. He has created artwork all around the Boston area, has decorated a castle in France, and has worked in Thailand and China doing community mosaics. He lives in Waltham.

Joseph Puleo has had a career in computer engineering and has worked as a commercial, event, and fashion photographer teaching circuit and graphic design in the computer industry. He has taught photography at UMass Lowell. Joe is a licensed drone FAA Certified Pilot.
